Things to Do and See in New Hampshire
New Hampshire is a great state to visit. Here are some of our favorite ways to explore the beautiful state of New Hampshire.
Drive New Hampshire
- Take US route 3 from Pittsburg, also known as Moose
Alley, for its beautiful scenery—Bes sure to bring
a camera!
- Follow Route 135 from Woodsville to Bath. The pristine
countryside is gorgeous, regardless of the season.
- If you are in New Hampshire during the spring, head
to Danbury to see the multitudes of daffodils planted
by area school children.
- Drive through beautiful towns like Portsmouth.
Taste New Hampshire
- Spend some time watching the pro’s at one of the
sugar houses throughout the state. Don’t forget
to try some of the sweet maple syrup
- Visit a local orchard and sample some fresh fruit juice.
- Stop in Ipswich and try some of the homemade breads
made in the Finnish family kitchens.
- Along the coast, take some time to see the lobsterman
at work, and then find out where to have a sea-inspired
meal.
Explore New Hampshire
- Ruggles Mine in Grafton offers you a chance to explore America’s oldest and largest mine. You can search for (and find) up to 150 minerals like beryl, rose, amethyst, and quartz.
- Take a guided hike or canoe/kayak trip through New Hampshire’s wilderness and look for bears, moose, beavers and other animals. However, be sure to keep your distance!
Ride New Hampshire
- Ride the rapids and slip down the slides at Water Country in Portsmouth.
- Spend the day making memories as you ride, laugh, and scream your way through the fun at Canobie Lake Park in Salem or at the Yogi Bear Resort in Ashland.
